THE BIOELECTRICAL UNIVERSE

Where does the differentiation between biochemical, bioelectrical, electro-magnetic, subtle, and etheric universes begin and end? Georges Lakhovsky, in his book, The Secret of Life postulates: Every living being emits radiations.

The nucleus of a living cell may be compared to an electrical oscillating circuit. This nucleus consists of tubular filaments, chromosomes and mitochondria, made Up of insulating material and filled with conducting fluid containing all the mineral salts found in sea water.

These filaments are thus comparable to oscillating circuits endowed with capacity and self-inductance and therefore, capable of oscillating according to a specific frequency. The fight between the living organism and microbes is fundamentally a war of radiations.

If the radiations of the microbe win, the cell ceases to oscillate and death is the ultimate result. If, on the other hand, the radiations of the cell gain the ascendant, the microbe is killed and health is preserved. Broadly speaking, health is equivalent to oscillatory equilibrium while disease is characterized by oscillatory disequilibrium.

In his book, The Phenomena of Life Dr. Crile states, All living cells are electric cells functioning as a system of generators, inductance lines and insulators and that the role played by radiation and electricity in living processes is no more mysterious in man than in batteries and dynamos.

Electrical energy plays a fundamental part in the organization of the growth and function of protoplasm. Man is a radio-electrical mechanism. When life ends, radiation ends. It is clear that radiation produces the electric current that operates adaptively the organism as a whole, producing memory, reason, imagination, emotion, the special senses, secretions, muscular action, the response to infection, and normal growth, all of that are governed by the electrical charges that are generated by the short-wave or ionizing radiation in protoplasm.

Dr. Nordenstrom claims, to have discovered an unknown universe of electrical activity in the human body, the biological equivalent of electrical circuits. These circuits are switched on by the normal activity of the body's organs; voltages build and fluctuate; electric currents course through arteries and veins and across capillary walls, drawing white blood cells and metabolic balance the activity of internal organs and, in the case of injuries, represents the very foundation of the healing process. Disturbances in this electrical network may be involved in the development of cancer and other diseases.

The idea that electric currents can stimulate bodily repair, alert defense mechanisms, and control the growth and function of cells is not a new one to medicine. Bioelectromagnetics dates back at least 200 years.

Classical medicine certainly doesn't deny that there are myriad electrical forces at work within the body, in addition to chemical ones exerted by hormones and enzymes, and physical ones like the pressure of the blood in the arteries and veins.

Every human thought and action is accompanied by the production of electrical signals along the fibers of the nervous system. Indeed, life wouldn't exist at all without a constant flow of ions across the membranes of cells. If Nordenstrom is right, these circuits may explain many fundamental regulatory processes in the human body, and even the seemingly inexplicable therapeutic effects of acupuncture and electromagnetic fields. (Discover Magazine, April 1986, Electric Man, s 22-37).

Each organ of the body produces and consumes energy that contributes to the maintenance of the overall life support system. An energetic equilibrium is essential to a healthy, functional body. To maintain this equilibrium, energy must flow freely through the channels at the proper strength and balance. If illness occurs, the flow of energy throughout the body is blocked and impaired at various points. The Orthogen 2000 helps you locate these points and determine the solutions to the blockages that will facilitate the healing process and restoration of homeostasis.

ORTHOGEN SETUP

Plug the surge suppresser into the wall socket. Make sure it is turned off.

Open the computer box and take out the keyboard, mouse computer and cord.

Plug the end of the keyboard and mouse wires in to the back of the computer.

Unpack the monitor and place it on top of the CPU.

Open the printer box and take out the printer. Plug in the power cord. Insert the printer cable into the parallel port in the back of the printer. Lock it in place with the two metal clips that fold inward.

Put on a pair of rubber gloves to counter static electricity. Take the Orthogen Interface Module and attach it to the Parallel Printer Interface on the back of the CPU. Use a screw driver to screw in the screws securely, that are attached to the interface.

Then attach the printer cable to the back of the Interface Module. Use the screw driver to secure the screws. Make sure the Interface and the printer cable are securely fastened together.

Unpack the Orthogen touching only the two silver metal handles in the sides. These are the only areas you should touch on the metal cabinet because of the special static insulation in these areas.

Open the Testing Platform. Take the three Orthogen/Testing Platform Cables and attach them to the Input, Output, and Expand Ports on the back of the Orthogen.

Attach the other end of the Cables to the corresponding Input, Output, and Expand Plugs on the Testing Platform.

Plug the metal end of the multi-colored Orthogen/Computer Interface Cord into the only port it will fit into on the back of the Orthogen. There is a special Orthogen Interface Port in the back of the CPU. Plug the blue plastic end of the multi-colored cable into it. When you are attaching the blue plastic end into the CPU, notice that it inserts into the port only one way. The small square piece of plastic on the side fits into the square cutout in the port. As you push it into place, the black hooks on the top and bottom of the port will descend down over the plug to lock it into position.

The monitor should be sitting on the top of the CPU. Attach the video cable plug to the monitor hook up port on the back of the CPU.

Insert and screw in the trigger probe with the 2 mm tip into the left Electrode Trigger Set Input. Be sure to screw down the locking ring.

Insert one end of the black coil cord into the base end of the metal Hand-Held Cylinder and the other end into the gray/white Left Electrode input only! The right one, the gray/red one, is active only when you are using both Hand-Held Cylinders to test the over all energy of the patient prior to testing.

Attach the input plug of the foot pedal cord into the Input Switch and screw down the locking ring.

Locate the duplicating parts: black circular base, shallow well and well cover, long black interface wire with gold ends, two red wires and square interface box.

Connect the long black cord with the gold ends to the interface. Now connect it to the back of the Orthogen into the TEST #2 input that is closest to the left side of the instrument (looking from the front), high above the serial number. Push on the circular connector. It fits on only one way. Press down the round metal ring and turn it to the right on both the interface and the Orthogen until it locks into place. This is important to make sure it is locked into place.

Plug in the two red wires into the gray-blue and gray-yellow inputs. When you use the urine as a biological filter and make the homeopathic remedy you will plug one of the red wires into the black circular base and the other into the gray-white input where the coil cord attached to the gauze Cylinder.

Take the coil cord attached to the gauze covered Cylinder and plug it into the black base of the Duplicating Cylinder. This puts the patient into the testing loop and places their energy into the homeopathic remedy when it is made.

MAKE SURE THE ORTHOGEN, CPU, PRINTER, AND MONITOR ARE OFF.

Find the AC power cord for the CPU and plug it into the power cord input in the back of the CPU. Then plug the other end into the surge suppressor. Then plug in the power cords for the printer and monitor.

TECHNICIAN INFORMATION

The following are instructions that should be given to prospective patients before they come to the office for testing:

No oils, creams, perfume, after shave, etc. should be worn.

The patient should be clean and preferably have taken a bath before coming to the office.

No coffee, alcohol or tobacco should be taken within 24 hours the test.

All jewelry, watches, hearing aids, etc., anything that uses a battery, should not be worn on the body to insure accurate testing.

No medications should be taken within 12 hours of the testing time, if possible.

The following are instructions for the technicians:

Women who are pregnant should not be tested.

Measurements should only be carried out on points with healthy, intact skin. If the skin is sweaty, dry it off.

Latex gloves should always be worn. The reason is to insulate you from the patient's energy field so that the readings will be accurate.

The black, insulated, plastic probe shaft is the only part that should be touched by the technician. The brass probe tip should only contact the skin of the point being tested. The shaft of the probe should not touch any part of the body while the tip is in contact with the point being tested. This is very important when you are testing toes that are squished together.

The point to be tested should always be dampened with a wet cotton ball that can be discarded after each patient. The water in a shallow dish should also be replaced and the dish washed out with antibacterial soap. Adequate moisture is very important for accurate readings with a minimum of pressure.

Two 4 X 4 inch moistened gauzes should be wrapped tight around the Hand Cylinder and discarded after testing the patient.

Ask if any medications or injections have been taken within the last 6 weeks, including over-the-counter drugs. Cortisone or prednisone received regularly can cause measurements to appear normal, but in actuality the patient is very ill.

The techniques used in testing are very important. To begin with, you will be testing the Control Measurement Points (CMP) on the fingers and toes of the left and right sides of the body, that are master points of the different organ meridian systems.

The measurement points are small circular areas usually 2 - 3 mm in diameter, 2 - 3 mm in depth, and found at the bone angles. They are used because of the definite difference in skin resistance with the surrounding tissue. Some are located on acupuncture points, while others have been discovered by Dr. Voll through years of research and testing.

Bend the fingers and toes so that the joints where the points are located is exposed. The clearer your view of the testing area, the easier it is to locate the point. The procedure for holding the probe when testing is to hold it just like a pen at a 45-degree angle to the patient’s skin surface. With firm pressure, compress the skin to the degree that the electrical resistance is constant.

Use a pillow to support the patients limb. Use your hand, the pillow and anything that will give your hand holding the testing probe permanent support. You should be moving the tip of the probe just a few fractions of an inch.

NOTE: ONLY APPLY ENOUGH PRESSURE TO INSURE THE READING STAYS CONSTANT OR GRADUALLY DECLINES. ONCE YOU FIND THE POINT, MAKE SURE YOU CAN ACCURATELY REPRODUCE THE WEE-WEE SOUND.

If the Orthogen plays a musical tune while testing the point, you are pressing too hard or easy. Your pressure is not constant. If the pressure is too great, irritation of the point will occur, causing artificially high readings, as the point becomes hypersensitive.

When this happens, allow 2 - 3 minutes for recovery. If a repeated reading is needed on the same point, it will require less pressure to achieve an accurate maximum value. Any discomfort associated with testing is an indication of malfunction of the respective organ system. Usually, the pain will decrease as the body heals.

ORTHOGEN AND HOMEOPATHIC EXPLANATION

As the clinician, you must be sensitive to your patient. You should educate them about acupuncture meridians, energy flow along the meridians and the effect of energy blockages. Keep your explanation in the realm of energy. You are only measuring the resistance along acupuncture meridians.

When you test remedies, vitamins, medicines, etc. you are evaluating their ability to restore the correct flow of energy along the meridians. If there are any beneficial changes in the patient’s health, it is a result of the correct flow of energy along the meridians.

You are testing acupuncture points discovered by Dr. Voll, a German MD who discovered this science that is widely accepted in Europe. The CMP's are the Control Measurement Points that are the master points that give us a reading of the condition of the entire organ system. The patient needs to cooperate with you by allowing you to move their hands and feet into positions that will make point measurement easier and more accurate. You should always be comfortable. Move the patient’s limbs so it is easy for you to test.

Before you begin testing, you should tell them that the amount of pressure you will be applying may be uncomfortable, but that it is necessary for accuracy. Ask them to tell you if the pressure is more than they can handle. If they are having a hard time on many of the points, find a few that are out-of-balance and test them only.

A stable maximum value of fifty (50) is ideal, however, if the reading fluctuates between fifty-five (55) and forty-five (45), the point is still considered in a normal range for the level of health of the average person. The following table illustrates the different possible readings and their meanings:

100 - 90 total inflammation

89 - 80 partial inflammation

79 - 66 cumulative irritations

65 - 51 irritations in the physiological areas

50 - 50 ideal

49 - 40 slight degeneration

39 - 30 considerable degeneration

29 - 20 advanced degeneration

below 20 severe degeneration

below 10 life threatening

Quite often, there will be a continual decrease in the measurement value over a period of 7 - 8 seconds, creating a difference between the Maximum and Minimum readings. This is called the Indicator Drop. It provides valuable information about the organ system's ability to generate adequate amounts of energy to accomplish healing (THE GREATER THE INDICATOR DROP, THE GREATER THE PROBLEM). The speed of the decrease from the Maximum to the Minimum testifies to the extent of the pathology. The slower the drop, the less severe the imbalance. The faster the drop, the greater the disturbance.

If the reading goes above 70 and there is no Indicator Drop, chemical intoxication is a possibility. If there is a high inflammatory reading with a large Indicator Drop, this points toward an insufficient amount of energy production plus metabolic depression of the cellular functions that will result in cellular destruction.

If you are going to use Homeopathy, the Doctor should inform the patients that homeopathics often initiate and accelerate the healing response of the body. This healing crisis may be unpleasant in the initial stages of problem resolution.

Homeopathy means like cures like. Homeopathy is based on the Law Of Similars, where a substance given in large crude doses will produce specific symptoms, but if reduced in quantity to microscopic amounts, will stimulate the body's reactive process to heal itself. The healing process comes from within and takes time.

Every organism possesses a defense mechanism that is responsible for maintaining a state of equilibrium. This mechanism allows the human being to cope with a multitude of stresses. If this mechanism breaks down, because of illness, fatigue, emotional or spiritual stress, the body's homeostasis is impaired. A state of imbalance is created that manifests itself as symptoms, that we call disease but are in actuality the body's attempt to heal itself and restore the systems back to a state of effective functioning.

The symptoms heal from the inside out, the bottom up and the core of the body to the extremities; in reverse of how they appeared. An example would be a skin rash that appears on the arm. A conventional doctor suppresses the body’s attempt at healing with some form of steroid cream. The disease is forced deeper into the body to more important organ systems. The disease process becomes more severe and life threatening. Eventually the person comes down with a horrible disease if the symptoms of the body’s healing attempts are suppressed.

When the correct homeopathic remedy is prescribed, the body's defensive and offensive forces are stimulated; the body's own natural healing mechanisms. When the proper homeopathic is administered, the healing process is speeded up and cellular equilibrium is restored. The disease symptoms will disappear in the reverse order they appeared. The final symptom will be the skin rash that was first to appear and the beginning of the body’s attempt to heal itself.

MOUSE INFORMATION

Move the mouse with your hand with the fingers pointing toward the two keys at the top of the mouse where the wire hooks into the mouse. Always keep the mouse with the keys pointing to the top of the mouse pad.

Whenever you move the mouse vertically, up or down, the arrow on the screen moves accordingly. Whenever you move the mouse to the left or right, the arrow moves horizontally. If you run out of space on the mouse pad, pick up the mouse and move it to the bottom or side of the mouse pad so that you have enough room. Remember: Keep the mouse vertical, with the keys always facing toward the top of the mouse pad.

IMPORTANT: Always place the tip of the arrow exactly on the words you are choosing to activate! From this point forward, the movement of the MOUSE that causes a corresponding change in the position of arrow will be referred to as MOVE THE ARROW. To activate the choices you press the left MOUSE KEY once or hold it Down to see the options that will be referred to as PRESS the KEY or HOLD DOWN the KEY.

TURNING ON THE ORTHOGEN SYSTEM

INSTRUMENT CALIBRATION

Press the two Reset Buttons and the Set New Patient Button on the front of the Orthogen.

Press the four Reset Buttons on the Testing Platform.

Move the arrow to Instrument Calibration, click the left key once, and release.

Move the arrow to Calibrate, then press the key once and release to activate the calibration sequence.

Calibrate will become highlighted in white.

A red dotted line will move across the screen on the 000 line accompanied by a beeping noise as each dot appears

Locate the Test Event Reading at the lower right hand of the screen that gives you a numerical representation of what the calibration values actually are.

If the red line does not travel along the 000 line and the Test Event Reading does not register 0, then turn the Calibrate Lo Limit Knob on the Orthogen to the right to increase the reading or to the left to lower the reading until you get the Test Event Reading to register a solid zero.

To calibrate the Orthogen at 100 insert the 2 mm probe tip into the small hole in the side of the hand Cylinder or press in the Test Processor Button and keep it pressed in. You can do either, but holding in the Test Processor Button is usually easier. Then start the calibration sequence again by pressing the key, with the arrow positioned exactly on Calibrate.

Check to see if the moving bars that appear on the screen rise to the 100 and the Test Event value at the bottom of the screen reads 100. If the reading is above or below 100 adjust the Calibrate Hi Limit Knob on the Orthogen to return the reading to 100. Turning to the right increases the reading and to the left decreases the reading.

The calibration sequence will always make 3 complete passes.

If you do not get the instrument calibrated at 0 and 100 during this time, continue to keep the arrow on Calibrate and press the key as many times as you need to finish the calibration sequence.

Locate the Sensor Noise Level indicator at the bottom of the screen. While you are calibrating, notice the color of the Sensor Noise Level.

If it is blue for Good or purple for Normal, testing can be done accurately. If red for Reset All Sensors appears, wait until the instrument stops the calibration sequence and press the two Reset Buttons, the Set New Patient Button on the Orthogen, and the four Reset Buttons on the Testing Platform once.

Then reactivate the calibration sequence using the key. The Sensor Noise Level should turn to blue for Good or purple for Normal.

The default setting for Method is Voll. You do not have to change it.

The default setting for Sensor is All in Operation. You will not change it.

The default setting for Electrodes is 2 mm <BRASS>. You will not change it.

Move the arrow to Test and press the key. Self Test in Progress will appear on the screen for about 8 seconds as the Orthogen goes through a self-diagnostic test. If an error message shows on the screen call us.

The only two things you will do will be Calibrate and Test. The others are all set for the defaults that are not changed.

Move the arrow to Exit and hold down the key and move the arrow to Yes and release. The Orthogen will return to the Main Menu automatically.

NEW PATIENT DATA ENTRY

Move the arrow anywhere in the New Patient Data Entry box and press the key once and release. The Patient First Name :......... will be high lighted in red.

Press the Caps Lock key. This will cause all letters to be capitalized. Leave the Caps Lock key on for the duration of the testing so that everything is capitalized.

Use the keyboard to enter the patient's first name and press the Enter Key.

Next will be Patient Last Name :..........Type in the patient's last name and press the Enter Key.

Continue the same procedure for the rest of the patient information.

After you complete your entries, pressing the Enter Key each time, the following question will appear on the screen after the operator information is entered: Is this information correct? (Yes/No).

If the information is correct, type Y and the Main Menu will reappear. If the information is incorrect, type N and the computer will return to the beginning and you must reenter all of the information.

CONTROL POINT TESTING

Move the arrow to Control Point Testing, press the key once, and release.

A window will appear with the major categories of all of Doctor Voll’s acupuncture points. Each category has each sub point related to the body areas listed. The choices are:

Control & Alarm Point Measurement

Hand & Feet Point Measurement

Head & Neck Point Measurement

Body & Extremeties

Exit Program

Click on the Control & Alarm Point Measurement.

A screen will appear with the quadrants and the Control Measurement Points listed.

The yellow menu line gives you a number of commands that allow you to do different things. The commands that are listed below can be accessed by moving the arrow to the option, pressing the key once, and releasing. You will not set any of the options at this time. The following is just an explanation of what the commands will do.

Page Up: The previous screen will appear.

Page Down: The next screen will appear.

Undo: This command will cancel an incorrect choice of a point before you start the actual test. Once you activate Undo, you will be able to choose another point.

Hold: Allows you to identify those readings that are abnormal and that you want to save on the hard disk. They will be transferred to Selected Control Point Testing.

Save: This places the points selected in the Hold mode into the permanent memory. This must be done to insure the readings are transferred to Selected Control Point Assessment where most of the testing of homeopathic remedies will take place.

Time Set: The default is 7 seconds. 10, 20 and 45 Second Transmission are options you rarely use. In most cases you will leave this setting at the default.

The following commands require you to hold down the key to see the options in that category, that appear under the command in a Pull Down Window. To choose an option, you must keep the key depressed and move the arrow down to your desired selection and then release. You will not select anything at this time. The following is only an explanation.

Audio: Allows you to select the Pitch of the sounds you will hear when testing points. You may also choose no sound with Audio Sound Off. The choices are Multiple Pitch 50X, Multiple Pitch 100X, Multiple Pitch 250X, Multiple Pitch 500X and Audio Sound Off (Default Setting).

Print: This option has only two choices: Chart Report and Type Report. Always choose Type Report. This is the command to start the print out of the points tested. All the test results are erased from this section once you print out the information or

Exit out of the program without printing out the results of the tests. Only the test results that are held and then saved will be transferred to the Selected Control Point Assessment area for remedy testing.

Exit: This command will display Yes and No. If you want to exit back to the Main Menu choose Yes, if not No.

Test results will appear in the following areas after each test. They will not be selected with the arrow. They show only the results of the tests.

Up Time: Registers the amount of time required to achieve the highest reading.

Down Time: Records the time required for the point to achieve its lowest reading.

Maximum: Is the highest energy reading obtained.

Minimum: Is the lowest energy reading obtained.

Indicator Drop: This does not appear on the screen. It is a result of subtracting the Minimum reading from the Maximum reading. The Indicator Drop provides valuable information about the body's ability to restore electrical homeostasis at the point being tested.

Actual Testing Procedure

Use the arrow to set the Pitch of your Audio sound at this time if you desire sound to accompany your testing. Usually, sound helps you be more accurate.

Wrap two four inch squares of moistened gauze tightly around one of the metal hand Cylinders, if you have not already done so. Insert the two black coil cords into the hole that is recessed inside the bottoms of the two hand-held Cylinders.

Insert the other ends of the coil cords into the gray/white and gray/red Electrodes inputs in the front of the Orthogen.

Have the patient hold one Cylinder in each hand tightly.

Choose the first box that says Hand Right and Hand Left with the mouse arrow. A picture will appear with a man with a color dot in each hand. The test will begin as soon as you give the patient the Cylinders. Once the testing sound stops, take the Cylinders from the patient. Check the numbers of the Maximum and Minimum. The reading should be 80 or above for the test to be able to accurately test the patient. If the reading is not 80 or above, use some type of bioelectrical or polarizing device to energize the patient's energy field.

When the patient’s Hand Right and Hand Left test is above 80, you can begin testing the Control Measurement Points (CMP)s.

Disconnect the coil cord and from the gray/red right Electrode input. Dry the one Cylinder not wrapped in gauze. Leave the gauze wrapped Cylinder attached to the coil cord plugged into the left gray/white Electrodes input.

IMPORTANT: ONLY THE WHITE LEFT REMOTE PLUG CAN BE USED WHEN TESTING ACTUAL POINTS.

Move the arrow to the HL LY CMP Waldeyer’s Tons. Ring point. Press the key once. The rectangular box will become highlighted and a picture of the bones of the hand will appear on the screen with the location of the point shown as red dot.

Locate the Gain Spectrum knob and turn it to .7. Flip the Hi/Lo Gain switch to Lo and the Bar/Dot switch to Bar or Dot, depending whether you want the Gain Threshold LED Graph to give you one individual lighted dot or a multiple of lighted dots. You will usually keep the switch on the Bar.

IMPORTANT: The Gain Spectrum allows you to adjust the sensitivity of each point, since each point and person is unique. The lower you set the Gain Spectrum, the greater the accuracy of the reading, but the more skilled you must be to locate the point. Usually, more pressure on the point is required when the Gain Spectrum is set lower and less pressure when it is set higher.

NEVER TURN THE GAIN SPECTRUM KNOB ALL THE WAY TO THE LEFT OR TO THE RIGHT. YOUR READINGS WILL BE COMPROMISED. IF YOU NEED MORE SENSITIVITY, FLIP THE Gain Spectrum Hi/Lo SWITCH TO Hi.

Place your foot on the foot pedal. When you press down, you will hear a steady humming noise coming from the Orthogen. Keep your foot on the foot pedal until you have located the point.

Take the patient's left hand and locate the point identified with a red dot on the monitor. Use a wet cotton ball to moisten the skin in this area before placing the 2 mm brass tip on the skin with firm pressure. Move the probe tip around until you hear a high-pitched sound and see all the green LEDs come on. Once the green lights on the Gain Threshold Graph stay lit continuously and the high-pitched sound is unwavering, you know you are on the point.

Now make a WEE-WEE sound by taking slight pressure off the point to get a WEE-WEE sound, only applying enough pressure to restore the high pitched sound! The green lights and high-pitched sound should stay constant without any deterioration even if you hold the probe tip on the point for 10 minutes.

NOTE: If you hear no sound when you near the point, adjust the Gain Spectrum knob until you get the continuous high-pitched sound and the constant illumination of the red and green LEDs on the Gain Threshold Graph. The points are 2 mm across and 2 - 3 mm deep. There is no margin for error. You will have to adjust your pressure and the angle of the probe tip to find many of the points that are up against the angular part of the bony protuberances.

IMPORTANT: You must be exactly on the point being measured for the results to be accurate and reproducible. If you are not exactly on the point, move during testing, or change your pressure, the Orthogen will invalidate the measurement by giving you a minimum reading that is abnormally low, zero, or negative. The Orthogen also will produce a tone that rises and lowers in pitch if you change pressure, that will tell you that the reading is not accurate. You should strive to maintain the same pressure throughout the testing process. If you use the correct amount of pressure you will hear a gradual decline in the tone, indicating there is an indicator drop.

Once you have located the point, keep the probe pressure constant, the hand steady, and then release the foot pedal to begin the testing process. The Orthogen will begin the measurement sequence and continue for 7 - 8 seconds.

You will immediately hear a tone coming from the computer, if you chose a specific Pitch from the menu. If you chose No Sound, you will have silence. The tones during testing are dramatically different than those that come from the Orthogen when you are locating a point.

Try the different pitches to determine the one you prefer. Usually, the tone will help you be more accurate in your testing. If you decrease your pressure or move off the point, you immediately will hear a sudden drop in tone. If you did not initially apply enough pressure to negate the skin resistance and apply more pressure while testing, you will get a rising and falling tone indicating variable pressure. (Dr. Voll recommends you use a minimum of 200 ponds. He demonstrated that at this pressure test results are reproducible and less pressure is required in subsequent tests.) Usually, you will hear a gradual decrease in the tone, showing an Indicator Drop that is common.

The red Diagnose/Update Bar Graph will begin at its' highest reading on the scale (Maximum Reading) and then gradually descend to the Minimum Reading, if you located the point correctly and used enough constant pressure to get an accurate reading. If you are aware that the test has been compromised in any way, you must retest the point. To retest you must wait until the test goes off and then you will have to click the key with the arrow on the point you want to test.

Retest the HL LY CMP, recording the reading over the original until you can reproduce the reading with less than a 3 point difference between the Maximum and Minimum numbers. If you cannot reproduce the reading adjust the Gain Spectrum Knob until you gain reproducibility.

Once you have an accurate reading, move the arrow down the screen to the next Control Measurement Point (CMP), the HL Lung CMP. Position the arrow exactly on any of the letters in this box and press the key to cause this area to become highlighted and ready for testing. A picture showing the point will appear. Test this point.

Test all the other CMPs, that are listed in the order of left hand, right hand, left foot, and right foot. To test points on the next page, move the arrow to the Page Down and click the key once to move to the next.

IMPORTANT: Have the patient switch the hand-Cylinder to the hand on the side not being tested. For example, the patient should hold the hand-Cylinder in the left hand when the right foot is being tested and visa versa.

Once all the CMPs on the fingers and toes have been tested accurately, move the arrow to Hold and press the key once and release to highlight Hold in blue. If the blue flashes on and off, you are not releasing the key quickly enough. You should use one quick click.

Now use the Page Up to go back through all of the test results to determine that points are out of balance and have the greatest Indicator Drop. (The Indicator Drop is the number of points the test drops from the Maximum to the Minimum values. You arrive at the Indicator Drop by subtracting the Minimum from the Maximum value.)

IMPORTANT: The Indicator Drop will be within 2 - 3 points and most of the testing results will be in a similar range, either high, low, or balanced. You will be able to determine that points are most out of balance because they will be out of range compared to all the other points. Each patient's readings will tell you what is normal and abnormal for them.

Usually, the most balanced points will be those with a Maximum and Minimum reading close to 50 with a one or point Indicator Drop. The points of greatest concern would be the ones with the greatest Indicator Drops and the lowest readings below 40. An example would be Maximum = 35 and Minimum = 20. This would be an Indicator Drop of 15 points. If you have points above 60 with large Indicator Drops, these should also be considered. An example would be, Maximum = 85 and Minimum = 60, with an Indicator Drop of 25 points. The greater the Indicator Drop the less energy the body has at that point to heal itself and must be balanced as soon as possible.

Once you have discerned that points are most out of balance, move the arrow to each point and click the key once to hold in the memory. Each box that is held will become highlighted and Hl will appear at the right end of the rectangular box showing it has been held. When you select a point with the Hold you cannot deselect it.

When you have held the points that are most out of balance, then move the arrow to Save and press the mouse key down and hold and then drag the arrow down to the first choice, <Hold-Save Point.TST and release to select. Save becomes high-lighted when you do this. A window will open on the screen telling you how many points were held and transferred to the hard disk for use in Selected Control Point Assessment area.

IMPORTANT: You must access the Save if you want to use these points when you test for remedies in the Selected Control Point Assessment Area. If you do not Hold and Save any of the readings or print all of them out, the results of the testing in the Control Point Testing section will be lost.

Once you have saved the abnormal points, move the arrow to Print, hold down the key, drag the arrow down to Type Report and then release to activate the printer the results. The Memory is cleared and you return to the Control Point Testing Menu that gives you the option to EXIT or test other points on the body.

When you do choose EXIT you will return to the Main Menu. If you don't want a print out, move the arrow to Exit, hold down the key, drag the arrow down to Yes, and release. You will return to the red Menu that gives you a choice of EXIT. When you choose exit you will return to then Main Menu without a print out and all the test results will be wiped clean.

BLOOD OR URINE AS BIOLOGICAL FILTERS

Blood and urine have microscopic amounts of poisons and by-products from microbes that are present inside of the body. The urine in particular is valuable as a biological filter. To use blood or urine when you are looking for the homeopathic remedies that bring the imbalanced points into balance:

Place the urine or blood specimen in a glass container that has a secure lid that will fit into the large circular well insert that fits into the base of the Duplicating Well. The well cover must fit completely over the top of the well insert.

Unplug the black coil cord attached to the patients hand-held Cylinder from the gray/white Electrodes input in the front of the Orthogen.

Plug the coil cord attached to the hand- held Cylinder into the hole in the metal base of the Duplicating Well.

Plug both red cords into the holes in the Duplicating Parallel Interface.

Plug one red cord into the left gray/white Electrodes input on the front of the Orthogen.

Plug the other red cord into the back of the metal base of the Duplicating Well.

You are now ready to test remedies in any of the programs where you want to use the urine as a biological filter.

SELECTED CONTROL POINT ASSESSMENT

Now that you have tested the patient's CMPs and saved the abnormal points in the Control Point Testing area, you are ready to discover the remedy that will restore balance in one or more points that are abnormal.

To use the patient’s urine as a biological filter during testing, take the coil cord that is attached to the gauze covered Cylinder the patient is holding and remove it from the gray/white Electrodes input. Plug it into any small hole in the round circular base of the Duplicating Well. Make sure one red wire from the Duplicating Interface Box is also plugged into the base.

Plug the other red wire from the Duplicating Interface Box into the same gray/white Electrodes input hole where you just removed the gauze-wrapped Cylinder. Place your foot on the Foot Switch and depress. Touch the tip of the testing probe to the metal Hand Cylinder. You should hear a high pitched sound to show everything is hooked up correctly. If you do not hear the high pitched sound, check your connections.

Place the patient’s urine sample into the Duplicating Well and cover.

Move the arrow to the Selected Control Point Assessment in the Main Menu and press the key. You will come to a screen that shows you all the out-of-balance points you held and saved in the Control Point Testing Area.

Evaluate which point related to a major organ system is the most out-of-balance by checking the inflammation, degeneration and indicator drop. Usually, you will test the most inflamed major organ system with the biggest indicator drop.

Click once on the point that is most out-of-balance and this will take you in to the next testing screen.

The red menu line gives you a number of commands that allow you to do different things. The commands that are listed below can be accessed by moving the arrow to the option, pressing the key once, and releasing:

Page Up: The previous screen will appear.

Page Down: The next screen will appear.

New Point: Allows you to return to the previous menu, so you can choose another point or print out the testing results.

The following commands require you to hold down the mouse key to see the options in that category, that appear under the command in a Pull Down Window. To choose an option, you must keep the key depressed and move the arrow down to your desired selection and then release:

Audio: Allows you to select the Pitch of the sounds you will hear when testing points. You may choose Multiple Pitch 50X, Multiple Pitch 100X, Multiple Pitch 250X, Multiple Pitch 500X, or Audio Sound Off (Default Setting).

Potency: Allows you the opportunity to change the Potency of the homeopathic on the Testing Platform, by changing the settings on the Tune Relative Intensity Meters. The choices are: 5X DIAL 521-821, 6X DIAL 311-632, 8X DIAL 581-455, 10X DIAL 743-291, 12X DIAL 388-711, 15X DIAL 501-861, 30X DIAL 951-822, 60X DIAL 591-475, 100X DIAL 773-201, 200X DIAL 338-791, SAMPLE DIAL 000-000.

When you change the Tune Relative Intensity Meters, the Orthogen will reproduce the unique electro-magnetic fields associated with each Potency. The different potencies generated are irrespective of the specimen or specimens on the Testing Platform. If you want to test the sample at its' own particular potency, set the Tune Relative Intensity Meters to 000-000.

Remedy Plane: Lets you choose all of or specific testing wells on the Testing Platform. Your choices are: Cylinder Set - 1, Cylinder Set - 2, Cylinder Set – 3 or All in Operation. Test results will appear in the following areas after each test:

Up Time: Registers the amount of time required to achieve the highest reading.

Down Time: Records the time required for the point to achieve its lowest reading.

Maximum: Is the highest energy reading obtained.

Minimum: Is the lowest energy reading obtained.

Indicator Drop: This does not appear on the screen. It is a result of subtracting the Minimum reading from the Maximum reading. The Indicator Drop provides valuable information about the body's ability to restore electrical homeostasis at the point being tested.

Tested Reference: This box will show the original test results of the point you have chosen for the purpose of finding a remedy.

IMPORTANT: Always wear latex or rubber gloves when you are handling the homeopathics so your energy does not contaminate the purity of the testing substances.

Load the remedy vials of Universal Sets #1, #2, and #3 into 3 multi-holed well-inserts.

Now place the well insert with Universal Tray #1 in Set 1 on the Testing Platform, Universal Tray #2 in Set 2, and Universal Tray #3 in Set 3. Place cylindrical well-covers over the multi-hole well inserts with the Universal Trays in them, to protect the substances from ambient electromagnetic radiation.

Set the Pitch of the Audio option at this time.

Set your Potency. Hold Down the mouse key, and drag the arrow Down to 6X. Dial into the Tune Relative Intensity Meters 311-632.

Release the key when you are sure you have dialed in the correct set of numbers.

To test all the remedies in Universal Trays#1, #2, and #3, at one time, at 6X, move the arrow to Remedy Plane, hold down the key, move the arrow to All in Operation, and release.

Move the arrow to the rectangular box containing Holder Set #1, #2, #3, and select with the mouse key by clicking it once and releasing. The box become highlighted, showing you have activated the test recording function and are now ready to test.

Give the patient the moistened, gauze-covered hand-held Cylinder. Have them hold it in the hand opposite the side being tested. Use a wet cotton ball to moisten the point being tested.

Place your foot on the Foot Pedal and push down until you get the humming sound. Continue to keep it depressed.

Use the 2mm probe tip to locate the point to be tested. The point is identified at the bottom of the screen in the red Tested Reference box. Refer to the hand/foot charts if you cannot remember where it is located.

Once you locate the point, keep a firm, steady pressure. Concentrate on looking at the tip of the probe contacting the exact location of the point. Make sure you can make the WEE-WEE sound consistently.

Look only at the point being tested on the patient’s body. If you look at the screen, your readings will not be accurate. You will change pressure or slip off the point. If you change pressure or move off the point, the Orthogen will either give you a negative, zero, or very low reading. You will also hear abnormal noises that can sound like someone is playing a strange tune, if you move off the point or your pressure change is too great, signaling that you must retest the point.

Take your foot off the Foot Pedal to begin the test. It will last for about 7 seconds. When the test is completed, the results will appear in the rectangular box.

IMPORTANT: Once the test starts, you must wait the entire eight seconds before you can retest.

Evaluate the result of the test and decide if the Maximum and Minimum readings are closer to 50 and the Indicator Drop is less than the original test results that are listed in the Tested Reference box at the bottom of the screen. If the new test results are superior to the original go to Step 27 to start testing the Cylinder Sets individually.

If there is no improvement, then access the Potency pull Down menu and select 12X and enter the numbers 388-711 into the Tune Relative Intensity Meters. Reselect Holder Set 1,2,& 3 to record the test. Retest the point against the Universal Trays#1, #2, & #3 remedies at 12X. The reading will replace the previous one, but all tests will be printed out at the end of the testing.

Evaluate the new test results. If they are superior to the original start testing the Cylinder Sets individually. Go to Step 27.

If there is no improvement, then change the Potency to 30X and enter the numbers 951-822 into the Tune Relative Intensity Meters. Reselect Holder Set 1,2,& 3 to record the test. Retest the point against the Universal Trays#1, #2, & #3 remedies at 30X.

Evaluate the new test results. If they are superior to the original go to Step 27 to start testing the Cylinder Sets individually. If there is no improvement, then change the Potency to 60X and enter the numbers 591-475 into the Tune Relative Intensity Meters. Reselect Holder Set 1,2,& 3 to record the test. Retest the point against the Universal Trays#1, #2, & #3 remedies at 60X.

Evaluate the new test results. If they are superior to the original, go to Step 27 start testing the Cylinder Sets individually. If there is no improvement, then change the Potency to 100X and enter the numbers 773-201 into the Tune Relative Intensity Meters. Reselect Holder Set 1,2,& 3 to record the test. Retest the point against the Universal Trays#1, #2, & #3 remedies at 100X.

Most often, Universal Trays#1, #2, & #3, when tested as a group at these different potencies, will create a greater balance in the point. Even if there is only a slight improvement, once you test the Universal Trays individually, you will see an even greater balancing. If in the rare case where the Universal Trays do not initially balance, go to Step 52. If there is improvement, go to step #27.

Move the arrow to Remedy Plane and choose Cylinder Set 1. Move the arrow to the box containing Holder Set 1 and select it by pressing the key and releasing. You can now test the Universal Tray #1 remedies that are in Set 1. The results will be recorded in Holder Set 1.

Place one of the remedies that created the greatest balance into multi-hole well insert in Cylinder Set 1 on the Testing Platform.

Go to Remedy Plane and Select Cylinder Set 1. You will test the last two or three remedies in Cylinder Set 1. You will not have to go to Remedy Plane again.

Use the Page Down menu choice to go to the exact name of the remedy. Use the color coding on the bottle to help you find the remedy.

Click on the name of the remedy to turn on the box to record the results and then test the remedy against the point.

Take that remedy off the Testing Platform and set it where you will not loose it. Place the second remedy into multi-hole well insert in Cylinder Set 1 on the Testing Platform.

Use the Page Up or Page Down menu choices to find the location of the remedy’s name and then click on that box. Test. The test results will appear in the box that identifies the remedy.

If there is a third remedy, remove the remedy on the Testing Platform and place the third remedy into multi-hole well insert in Cylinder Set 1 on the Testing Platform.

Use the Up or Down menu choices to find the location of the next remedy and then click on the name. Test.

Now evaluate the results and determine which of the two or three remedies brings the point listed in the Reference Area at the bottom of the page into the greatest balance. That one remedy is the best one for the patient. If the tests are not an improvement, change the Potency and retest each remedy until you find a remedy and Potency that works.

Once you find the correct remedy at the best Potency go to New Point and click on it once to return to the previous menu that has the Print option. Select the Print with the mouse key, hold down and drag down to Type Report. You will automatically return to the Main Menu.

If there was no improvement when testing the three Universal Trays as one group at the different potencies, then remove Universal Trays#1, #2, & #3 from the Testing Platform and load a multi-holed well-insert with the Specific Meridian Tray of the meridian you are testing.

Place the Specific Meridian Tray into Set 1 on the Testing Platform. Choose a Potency of 6X. Enter into the Tune Relative Intensity Meters the numbers 311-632. Go to the Remedy Plane. Choose Set 1 and then use Page Down to move to the very last of the remedy lists where the Specific Meridian Tray is listed.

Place the arrow on the rectangular box that lists the meridian you want to test and then click the mouse key once and release to select this box for testing. Test. If there is an improvement in the reading, divide the tray up into three sets of 7 and test each group, recording the results in Holder Set 1, Holder Set 2 and Holder Set 3, narrowing them down to smaller group until you find the best remedy. When you get down to the last few remedies, they are listed according to the code on the bottles.

If there is no improvement, then change the Potency to 12X, 30X, 60X and 100X to see if a different Potency works. If a different Potency works go back to Step 52 and find which remedy is the best.

If changing the Potency did not make a difference, remove the Specific Meridian Tray from the Testing Platform and load a multi-holed well-insert with any of the other meridian trays listed below: Lymph Tray #A, Lung Tray #B, Large Int. Tray #C, Nerve Degen. Tray #D, Circul./Heart Tray #E, Allergy Tray #H, Endocrine/Sm.In. Tray #J, Spleen 1 Tray #K, Spleen 2 Tray #K, Liver/Pancreas Tray #L, Jnt./Sk./Fb./Ft.Dg. Evaluate the results of the tests and decide that group tested the best. Remove the other two group of seven remedies from the Testing Platform.

Take the group of seven that provided a greater balance and divide it up into two group of two vials and one of three vials. Place each of the group of vials into separate well inserts and place one group on Set 1, another on Set 2 and the third on Set 3. Cover them with the well-covers.

Move the arrow to Remedy Plane and choose Cylinder Set 1. Move the arrow to the box containing Set 1, select it and then test the two remedies that are in Set 1. The test results will write over the top of the reading that is in the box that is no longer of value.

Move the arrow to Remedy Plane and choose Cylinder Set 2. Move the arrow to the box containing Set 2, select it and then test the two remedies that are in Set 2.

Move the arrow to Remedy Plane and choose Cylinder Set 3. Move the arrow to the box containing Set 3, select it and then test the two or three remedies that are in Set 3.

Evaluate the results of the tests and decide which group of remedies created the most balanced reading, compared to the original test result that is listed in the Tested Reference box at the bottom of the screen.

Remove the other two group of remedies from the Testing Platform. Now it is time to test the remaining individual remedies one at a time. Take each of the remedies and place each into a different Cylinder Set on the Testing Platform. The name of this remedy is not listed. Only the remedies for the Universal Trays and the Specific Meridian Tray are listed.

Move the arrow to Remedy Plane and hold down the key, move the arrow to Set 1 and release the arrow to select. Select Holder Set 1 to record the test. Test.

Move the arrow to Remedy Plane and hold down the key, move the arrow to Set 2 and release the arrow to select. Select Holder Set 2 to record the test. Test.

If there is a third remedy, move the arrow to Remedy Plane and hold down the key, move the arrow to Set 3 and release the arrow to select. Choose Holder Set 3 to record the results. Test.

Decide which remedy created the greatest balance. Write its name on a piece of paper and you are finished. If the tests did not show any improvement in the original reading, test all three or two at different potencies until you find the one that is the best. Use the Potency menu option in combination with entering the required numbers into the Tune Relative Intensity Meters to select different potencies. When you are through go to New Point and click to get to the Print option. Click on Print and drag Down to Type Report.

REMEDY BY AREA TESTING

If you want to use the patient’s urine as a biological filter, take the coil cord that is attached to the gauze covered Cylinder the patient is holding and remove it from the gray/white Electrodes input.

Place the patient’s urine specimen into the Duplicating Well and cover.

Move the arrow to Remedy By Area Testing and press the key once and release. You can customize each meridian area for the substances you want to test. This is done through the Remedy Editor section of the Main Menu.

Move the arrow to the meridian you want to test and press the key once and release. A new menu will appear.

The following choices are new to this menu, that did not appear in Control Point Testing:

Area: Left Hand Area, Right Hand Area, Left Foot Area, Right Foot Area and Outside Area.

Point: Depending on that meridian you are on, a list of the points of the meridian will appear.

Set Mode: This selection is not used during this testing.

Move the arrow to Audio and select the desired Pitch.

Move the arrow to Potency, hold down the key. Drag the arrow to the Potency you desire, enter the two sets of three numbers into the Tune Relative Intensity Meters, and then release the key to lock in this Potency.

You can change the potencies only for homeopathics that are on the Testing Platform. The entire Testing Platform is active. You cannot select Cylinder Set 1, 2 or 3 individually.

Move the arrow to Area, hold down the key, move the arrow to the desired area you want to test, and release.

Move the arrow to Point, hold down the key, and move the arrow to the desired area, and release.

Before testing any remedies, it is important to retest the point you will be testing to determine what the maximum and minimum readings are at this time.

The testing should be done in the clear, with nothing on the Testing Platform. Use the arrow to choose the rectangular box with the listing CLEAR MEASUREMENT test the point to record the results for future reference.

Now you are ready to test the remedy or remedies against the point you have just tested to establish it's current maximum and minimum readings. Load the samples or sample you want to test into the multi-hole, shallow, or deep well inserts and place ONE on the Testing Platform in Set 1.

Move the arrow to a selection that identifies the sample or samples you want to test. If the bottles are not color-coded and mixed together in a random order, record the results in the rectangles labeled Group#1, Group#2, or Group#3.

If your samples are color-coded, use the listings for the color-coded trays. When you have the arrow on the correct rectangular box and press the key, the rectangular box will become highlighted, indicating that a test can be made.

Have the patient hold the gauze-wrapped Cylinder in the opposite hand of the side being tested, locate the point with the probe, and test.

If the result of the test is not closer to 50 with less of an Indicator Drop than the initial test, change the potencies by selecting a new Potency listing from the Potency Menu.

Change the settings on the Tune Relative Intensity Meters to change the settings inside the Orthogen.

Test again and if this does not produce a more balanced reading, choose other potencies. Usually, you will try 6X, 12X, 30X, 60X, and 100X.

If the different potencies do not give you a better balance, then try different trays of samples or individual substances to find something that will provide a better balance.

You can test only one well insert containing up to 22 remedies at a time on the Testing Platform. If you want to use a process of elimination to find the one substance that balances, find a tray that creates a better reading.

Break the group of vials up into three groups.

Place each group in a different multi-holed well insert.

Use the arrow to select Set 1 to record the readings.

Place a multi-hole insert on the Testing Platform in any Cylinder Set.

Test the point and evaluate the result.

If the point is balanced by this group of substances, break them up into three group and test each group alone on the Testing Platform, using the choices of Set 1, Set 2, and Set 3 boxes to record your results.

If the first group did not balance the point, remove the first group of remedies from the Testing Platform.

Place the second group of remedies on the Testing Platform and use the Set 2 box to record the results.

Use Set 3 box to record the results if you have to test the third group of remedies. Remember the entire Testing Platform is active!

Once you narrow down the remedies to three or four, then use the arrow and the Page Down feature to locate the name of each remedy and test them individually. Be sure to have only the remedy you are testing on the Testing Platform at any one time. When you have found the best remedy, then try different potencies to find the one that is the most balancing.

Once you have discovered the best remedy and Potency, move the arrow to Print and hold down the mouse key until Type Report and release. The printer will print out the test results and you will return to the menu that lists the meridians.

You can choose another meridian to test or go to Exit to return to the Main Menu.
